For over 50 years,  North West Rubber has been a leading manufacturer of recycled rubber flooring solutions throughout North America and globally. 

 
 


The company owns and operates manufacturing facilities in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, China and Texas (2019) . Our products are distributed all over the world. 



The markets that NWR serves today include: Agriculture, Recreational Flooring, Commercial Flooring, Playground, Pet, Construction, Industrial, Traffic Safety, Marine, Solar, Manufacturing, and Landscaping.


OUR HERITAGE

 


1968

In 1968, North West Rubber Ltd. started in a barn that was rented from the CP Rail company in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada.



1970

In the late ’60’s and early ’70’s, the company used recycled materials to make their rubber mats. They expanded the uses of rubber mats into the equine and farming industries.



1971

The engineers at NWR experimented with adding sulfur to make vulcanized rubber mats and the quality and durability of the rubber mats became significantly better.



1973

This new ability to produce high quality vulcanized rubber mats expanded NWR’s business into rubber mats designed for ice rinks, gyms, truck beds and more.



1996

NWR moved from Pitt Meadows to Abbotsford with an expanded manufacturing area.



1997

NWR begins sourcing rubber products in Asia



2002

NWR establishes its own manufacturing in China



2010

NWR built a new facility in Ontario and has seen several expansions since.



2018

NWR celebrates 50 years in business.



2019

NWR breaks ground on a new manufacturing plant in Texas, USA
