In the late ’60’s and early ’70’s, the company used recycled materials to make their rubber mats. They expanded the uses of rubber mats into the equine and farming industries.
The engineers at NWR experimented with adding sulfur to make vulcanized rubber mats and the quality and durability of the rubber mats became significantly better.
This new ability to produce high quality vulcanized rubber mats expanded NWR’s business into rubber mats designed for ice rinks, gyms, truck beds and more.
