Excellence Awards 2019

On Oct 30th, Communitas and Archway Community Services held their annual Inclusive Employer Awards in Abbotsford BC. This event recognizes businesses within our community who are committed to hiring people with barriers to employment.

This year North West Rubber was honoured to receive the award for “Outstanding Commitment to Inclusive Employment,” for a large size company.

The event itself was very well organized and was entertaining, informative and very inspiring. Utilizing the vast resources that are available to lead a diverse workplace is something we will continue to pursue.

NWR has partnered with Communitas since 2017. Most recently we used their services to help us complete a very intricate and detailed project, assembling our SportFloor Architectural binders over a 4-month period. Communitas has been very supportive and helpful in connecting the right people to help us complete this project.

We look forward to teaming up again for future opportunities and helping build a stronger and more inclusive workplace environment.
