The recent floods in British Columbia didn’t just hit close to home, they hit us right at home – in the heart of farming communities such as Pitt Meadows, where NWR began more than fifty years ago, to the community of Abbotsford where we operate and employ local men and women today. Although displaced families, devastated homes and starving animals are no longer leading headlines, here in the Fraser Valley, our recovery from Canada’s costliest environmental disaster has only just begun.

This holiday season, North West Rubber is donating $5,000 to the YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) BC Flood Relief Fund. All monies raised for this Fund will help those directly affected by this disaster. As the year comes to a close, we look back at 2021 with heavy hearts for our impacted communities, but with a renewed commitment to recycling millions of end-of-life tires destined for landfills and incinerators into useful, innovative products to help reduce the impact of climate change.
