FloorScore® Certification contributes to healthier indoor air quality for both home and office environments.

FloorScore is a hard surface flooring and flooring adhesive product certification that meets strict indoor air quality requirements. It was developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) in partnership with SCS Global Services.

Products with the FloorScore label meet the indoor air quality emissions criteria of the US Green Building Council’s Leadership for Engineering and Environmental Design (LEED); Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS); WELL Building Standard, Green Guide for Healthcare, and other leading green building standards.

SCS Global Services is a recognized global leader in third-party certification for environmental sustainability claims.

VOC Testing and Emission Criteria

FloorScore tests for a product’s chemical emissions following established scientific and health-based criteria developed by the California EPA and endorsed by the California Department of Public Health’s Standard Method for Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions Testing and Evaluation.

FloorScore Validates Products Annually
for Continued Performance

FloorScore certification confirms products have met the rigorous criteria for quality control procedures, material formulations and sourcing, and indoor air quality performance. Certified products are required to maintain certification through annual verification, which includes periodic testing and manufacturing audits.
